LAST Weekly Tummy Pic...

Okay so tomorrow Brooklynn will officially be FULL TERM...

Had our much anticipated doctor appointment today. I got all of my questions answered and feel really great about everything. I am 70% effaced and still 2cm dilated... Doctor stripped my membranes and we scheduled an induction for Sunday 13th. I am so excited knowing that is the latest that our little girl will be here! I cant WAIT to hold her in my arms and see her precious little face. I am still hoping that she comes on her own, I dont want to be induced. I dont think I will be able to labor all natural with an induction. I will try my best but who knows... So now we just sit and wait for our baby girl!!!!

Well I guess this is going to be my last weekly tummy pic update... Wow everything is getting so surreal! Our princess is going to be here in 5 days!

So here are some statistics on miss Brooklynn...

She is 279 days old
99.6% through pregnancy
98.9% through third trimester
TOMORROW is her due date!! :)

Bored... {more mucous... really?}

okay well I am just sitting at home not doing too much... Bounced on my birthing ball today... that has been the highlight of my day so far haha...

Waiting for Bart to come home for lunch.. once he leaves to go back to work I am going to go to the mall and walk for a couple hours lol... Trying everything to get this show on the road.. We are getting so anxious to meet our baby girl!

Well I guess there is some progress to report... Just and FYI it is TMI... So a couple weeks ago or whenever it was I thought I had lost all of my mucous plug... well was I wrong about that... Last night and early this morning I was having some good contractions.. nothing that was consistent though bummer... anyways so when I went to the bathroom there was A LOT of redish brown mucous... I thought since there was so much the last time that I passed the whole thing... Well that is clearly not the case... I dont know if everything is out now or what but I hope so... and I hope that this means labor is going to happen soon... prob not, but one can hope right ;)

Oh and more exciting news my mom is on her way to Iowa right now :) she will be here by this evening! Cant wait to see her! I haven't seen her since August.. :)

Dad will be flying in on Thursday! I am so happy to be able to see my family! I have missed them sooo much! It is really hard to not have any family around... especially while I am pregnant and hormonal.. My parents have been so supportive through this entire pregnancy and I am so thankful for that...

Okay so doctor appointment tomorrow at 9:50... I am going in there with a mission lol. I will be leaving there with a set due date no later than Monday... Shooting for Friday... But still hoping that Brooklynn will just come on her own... I plan on giving birth to her naturally, but I know with being induced it is going to make the labor sooo much harder for me.. especially if they have to give me pitocin. Which I would like to use as a last resort. I am hoping that they can strip the membranes and break my water... and see if that will make everything go right along... but who knows...

39 Week Doc Appt...

Well nothing has changed. Everything is still the same... UGH... I am so tired of being pregnant {end of rant} ;)

On the bright side my mom will be here on Sunday and that is my last day of work as well... Well technically Monday is, but I dont have to work just getting paid for it! :) I LOVE floating holidays lol.

Oh doctor did say if I dont go into labor on my own I will be induced on the 18th of January, which would put me at 41w2d. I am really hoping our little princess doesn't make us wait that long to meet her. I honestly dont think I will be pregnant for that much longer... I think if anything she will be here around the 12th. IDK why that date sticks in my head but it does... My dad told me a while back he thinks the 4th... So I guess we will see.. and Bart just wants this little girl here NOW! lol... I can tell he is starting to get really impatient. :)

So my next appointment is Tuesday the 8th... I will be 39w6d.. I would like to talk to my doctor a little more about induction and that whole process at that appointment. And if anything if we could move the date up because my dad will be flying back home on the 19th at 9am! I do not want him to miss the birth of Brooklynn and then my mom would be going home a couple days later! :( But she has the ability to extend her vacation if she has too, which is awesome! It is going to be such a big help having them here to help us through these first couple weeks. Oh and I know that if I haven't had her by my next appointment I will have to go and have some testing done to make sure it is okay for miss Brooklynn to stay in there past my due date. I think it is just an ultra sound to check fluid levels, her size, and how the placenta is doing. Well that's it for now. I guess I will know more on Tuesday... Or she could come before then... Who knows... the anticipation is KILLING me haha...

Oh and a little side note... I haven't had any caffeine since the day I found out I was pregnant... and right now I am enjoying my first diet dr pepper {Well any caffeine for that matter} in 9 MONTHS!!!!!! AAAHHHH it is so delicious! Everyone that knows me knows that I used to have these about umm 3-4 times a day... Plus a Starbucks {clearly I was extremely healthy}, so this is such a treat! One happy momma :)

Oh this is a little edit to the original post. I forgot to put this in here earlier... I lost 3lbs at my last appointment (woohoo) and I had zero weight gain at this appointment! YAY! I know my baby girl is growing so that has to mean I am losing some weight lol. By some weight I mean like a pound haha. It is the only good news from today.  :)

38w6d... Is this ever going to be over?


Baby girl is def starting to drop.. I feel her a lot lower now and her butt isn't shoved up under my rib cage anymore! Yay... It is a nice relief!


First off I have to say that I am so thankful to have had a problem free pregnancy so far. I am grateful to be bale to carry a healthy baby to full term... With that being said I am so ready for this to be over. I am getting so anxious and excited to meet our baby girl. Every day I wake up thinking "I wonder if today is the day"  and so far it hasn't been lol... I always hoped for her to come early but deep down I dont think she will... And if she does I think it will only be a couple days...

I have a doctors appointment on Thursday at 10:25am... I am hoping I am 5cm and they send me right to L&D... haha {wishful thinking at its finest} I know that will NOT be the case but hey it would be nice :) so next week I will be 40 weeks pregnant... So CRAZY! I cant believe it! If she doesn't come early I still know the end is near... :) I cant wait to hold our baby girl! If I do go past my due date I will have to go to L&D for an ultrasound to make sure that it is safe for her to stay in there for a little longer... if not I am assuming I would be admitted and induced... idk how that whole process  works. At my appointment on Thursday I am going to make sure I ask her what the plan is if I go past my due date... and a few other things... So on Thursday there will most likely be a short post about how my appointment went and if I am dilated or effaced more... also I am going to ask where her head is stationed.. I meant to ask last appointment but the cervical check was so extremely uncomfortable I couldn't even process anything.

So today is my first day off of three :) yay... a little mini vacation.. I love knowing I got paid to sit at home all day :) then I will work Fri, Sat and my last day will be Sunday! yay! then I will be back at work March 4th... Also on Sunday my mom will be coming into town!!!!! I cant wait to see her... It feels like it has been forever! Then my dad will be flying in on Thursday the 10th!!! It have been almost a year and a half since I have seen him! So excited for the end of this week and next! And hopefully somewhere in between there we will be welcoming our baby girl! <3

Oh and New Years Eve was uneventful to say the least... haha I was asleep before it was even midnight... poor Bart lol... But I do remember him coming in the room, I am assuming at midnight, and giving myself and our daughter (my belly) a kiss... :)

Here is a little comparison pic of Bart and our baby girl... I wonder if she is his! haha... They have the same nose, lips, chin, cheeks, and even sleep with their hands tucked under their chins... When I woke up and saw him I immediately thought of her and how much they look alike... :)






 Oh and on Saturday my work threw me a baby shower! Which was so nice of everyone there! We had lots and lots of cake :) Brooklynn got lots of clothes and gift cards. :)
