Weekly Tummy Pic...

So today I had my check up at my doctor... It was a little nerve racking... My OB asked me if I had any questions... so I told her a few of the problems that I have been having with my left leg... Lately I have been getting a pain behind my knee when I am sitting or standing for any length of time. I have also been getting what looks to be like varicose veins mixed with bruising on my left leg... None of this has been happening to my right leg... which had me a little concerned... And it clearly concerned my doctor even more. So she says that I need to have an ultrasound done immediately on my leg to make sure that I do not have a blood clot! Ugh scary... She said she would call the place I usually get my ultrasounds done at and see if they can get me right in. If not then I would have to go to the hospital and have one done. Thankfully the place was able to fit me in. I was dreading going to the hospital. I could only imagine how long it would have taken there. So I go down stairs have my ultrasound done and the results come back that I do not have a blood clot! Phew! What a sigh of relief. I was pretty stressed out waiting to know the results of the exam.

The best part about today... First I got to hear my baby girls heart beating which is always music to my ears... and while I was getting the ultrasound on my leg, the tech that has done everyone of Brooklynn's ultrasounds, comes in and asks me if I have any extra time today to have the girls test out their new ultrasound 3d/4d machine on me!!!! I was so EXCITED and HAPPY... I said of course you can! What a great way to make my day off absolutely perfect! So I got to lay and watch my baby girl this morning for over an hour on the big screen! Pretty sad that Bart wasn't able to make it, but we got some great pictures to show him. She is as beautiful as ever! and getting so big!!! We got some really good 3d shots of her and a couple 4d videos! :) all for free which is even better! Our baby girl is weighing in a 5lbs5oz and she is measuring about a week ahead... I think this little girl went through a growth spurt lol... Which makes me think... when is she going to make her appearance into this world?!?!?! If she is already weighing that much I hope it is sooner than later lol...

So Thanksgiving was on Thursday... we went to Cherokee Iowa to be with Bart's family.. I had a great time with them and I was finally able to meet his brothers. His brother Heath and wife Rachel got Brooklynn the cutest little Iowa state onesie, bow and matching booties. :) I cant wait to put her in it ;)

So my next appointment is in two weeks on December 10th at 9am :) then I will be on weekly appointments! Crazy to think that we are getting this close!

Well 33 weeks tomorrow... Only 7 weeks left... Unless this little girl decides to make her appearance early... Which is fine with Bart and I. ;) She will be considered full term December 18th... 29 days left! Any time from there on I will be happy to have her! ;) We just want a healthy happy little baby girl... I am sure she will make us wait till after her due date... stubborn little one... I would say that she gets that from Bart... He would like for her to be born on December 20th... his reasoning behind it... it is after finals week and right before xmas lol... 

So my next doctors appointment is on Tuesday... it should be just the usual check up... We will see if the scale is my friend that day.. prob not considering Thanksgiving is this week... ;) And then from there I think I go to weekly... I am actually not sure... Maybe one more 2 week appointment then the weekly... I guess we will know on Tuesday.

So I dont really have much to talk about with this post... Nothing has really happened... Lets see we had our birthing class last night... That was interesting... I guess... I learned a couple new things but a lot of the stuff I already knew... I know Bart jokes about this class and how he is not happy to be there because it is in the middle of Monday night football but I really hope that he is learning some stuff... I know I will not have the patience to deal with his questions or lack of knowledge while I am in active labor... Especially since I will be trying to go through the process all natural... Bart is a very smart man and I know he will know what to do... I have SOME faith in him ;)

SO Thanksgiving is on THURSDAY!!! Yay! ;) I cant wait to have some good food and see Bart's family. We will head to Cherokee tonight! Not looking forward to the 4 hours drive and having to stop every hour so I can pee. Poor Bart lol. This will be the last time that I can travel anywhere until miss Brooklynn is here... Doc said to not travel more than 2 hours away one I hit 34 weeks... So I am not too sure what Bart and I are going to do for Christmas this year... Clearly stay home and I will prob cook us a nice dinner, maybe go see a movie or stay at home and watch movies all day. :)  I can tell Bart is excited because his brothers will be there... Which he hasn't seen in months... I am excited to meet his brothers the for the first time!! :) I am not happy it has to happen when I am 8 months pregnant lol. I cant wait for Brooklynn to be here so she can beet her uncles! <3

Well that is about all I have to talk about for now. :) Oh on December 1st we will be doing our Maternity pictures! :) I am really excited for this... Hopefully I am not too big lol...

Guesses on what features Brooklynn will have...

So far all we have talked about is her little face and hair... He thinks she will have blonde hair and blue eyes... his lips, chin and cheeks and my forehead lol... that jerk haha...

My guess...
I think she will have brown hair and blue eyes, his lips and cheeks and I am not sure on the chin... and I think she will have Bart's big ass head ;) I think she will be 20 inches long and weigh 8lbs3oz. And hoping for a 9 or 10 on her APGAR score... in my eyes she will be a 10 ;) 

I will have to ask Bart what he thinks her measurements will be... Okay I am done rambling... I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving with their families and friends... I will enjoy my time with Bart's family but I will be missing my family very much! :(

Okay so 8 weeks left! I cant believe it...


I haven't gotten around to taking my bare belly pic... I will prob do it tomorrow...




 Well today I had my doc appt... Everything was great minus the 2lbs I have gained since my last appt... I will get over it i guess... Baby girls heart was beating 142bpm loud and strong... We had our birthing class last night which I actually enjoyed this time... I pretty much got a massage from Bart for an hour and a half. :) We learned some relaxation techniques that we can use while I am in labor... I think will be very comfortable... I think I will need a birthing ball for sure! There was a position that made my back feel so good! and it actually relieved my sciatic pain...

Well tomorrow I have physical therapy tomorrow for my sciatic pain... It seems to be helping some but not as much as I have hoped... The massage at the end feels amazing and makes it all worth it... ;)

 Okay so today is Bart's birthday! <3 This old man turned 28 today!!! Well I didnt get Bart too much for his birthday.. figured the golf clubs from last year counted this year too haha... jk... I did get him a few of his favorite beers... another one of his favorite beer glasses that he broke about a week ago... and some other glass that he has been wanting too... Oh and a duck commander hat.. yup that's what he wanted a freaking duck commander hat... such a dork... We actually just got done with dinner which was pretty good... we went to this bar & grill here in Tiffin... Bart just wanted a burger for his b-day dinner... since its his day he gets what he wants... I would have preferred to take him to a place nicer... but that's not really Bart's thing... He is pretty simple and easy to please... clearly... :) Well onto the most important thing from the day today.... his CAKE!!! OMG I cant wait to cut it and eat it haha... spoken like a true pregnant lady... I ordered it a couple weeks ago and I have been looking forward to this ever since haha...

This bakery in Iowa City has the BEST red velvet cake! 

Well that is about it for now...my next doctors appointment is the 27th of this month at 9:25am... I think I have one more 2 week appointment after this one then I will be down to seeing the doc every week!!! This is crazy to me..  Time has gone by so fast!

Physical Therapy... and a Special Birth!

Okay so I have to do a little post... ;) Well I am 31 weeks today! yay! Very exciting...

Anyways so I had my physical therapy appt today for my back. It went well.. I have to go twice a week. they gave me a few exercises to do at home which should help with relieving some of this pain in my lower back... the best part is they massage my back at the end... yay! haha... oh and Brooklynn was putting on a show for the girls at PT... she either did not like the stretches I was doing or she just wanted to let them know that she is there stretching with her mommy :) She did make the girls laugh a few times at home much she was kicking and moving.

Okay so onto the important stuff!!! On of my friend Bre just had her precious baby girl today! I knew as soon as my hone went off this morning at 7am it had to be her! And sure enough she was 7cm and at the hospital!!! She had her little princess at 9:15 am 6lbs7oz 20 inches long! I had tears in my eyes when I received that text... pure joy! A new life is such and incredible and amazing thing!!! Anyways I am just beyond excited and happy for their precious family so I had to give a little shout out :) Much love to them and best wishes!


Side note... Little miss Brooklynn has been making me pretty uncomfortable right now!!! She will not get her legs and butt off my ribs! I thought people were crazy when they said that the kicking kinda hurts... But I TOTALLY know what they mean... Its not like a pain but very uncomfortable... which makes me feel bad because I think she is uncomfortable. Sitting is a problem right now...

I cant believe I have 9 weeks left! This is so crazy to me!


So I dont really have too much to talk about only a few things have happened since my last post... Lets see so last night Bart and I had our first birthing class... The class goes every Monday night from 7-9 for five weeks... :) Bart is very unhappy with the fact that it is on Monday nights... He misses Monday night football... haha such a typical man... There was about 17 couples there... which was surprising to me... I thought there would be less... The couple that sat at the table with us is due the same day as me... :) on our way to the hospital Bart says to me in the car "I really hope today is syllabus day." haha I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes... Which anyone in school knows syllabus day is the best because you get out early... He is such a goof ball... But after what we went through in the class I think he is a little overwhelmed... A lot of the stuff that we went over I had already known for sometime... I guess going to school for nursing helps me out a little ;)

Umm lets see my next doctors appointment is next Tuesday... Should be the usual appt... weight, hopefully no weight gain like my last appt ;) lets keep it at the 24lbs haha... heartbeat and measurements and questions...

I have a physical therapy appointment tomorrow at 10 for my back... I have been having a lot of pain with my sciatic nerve... This little girl has been giving me such a hard time with my back. There are some days that I can barely get out of bed and walk... And then there are days I feel perfectly fine... That doesn't happen as often as I would like lol. So I am hoping that PT helps. this past week has been pretty rough on Bart and I and I feel so bad for him... There was a spread of about 4 days that I maybe got a total of 3 or 4 hours of sleep each night.. It was terrible.. I would not sleep my back was killing me, my stomach felt so heavy that no matter what I did I could not get comfortable, I would toss and turn all night, which kept Bart up too! :( Poor guy... Most of those nights he ended up on the couch to try and get whatever sleep he could... I bet he is ready for this to be over... But he wont be getting much sleep when she is here anyways :)

Well my baby girl has been on the move this morning... Kicking my ribs like crazy ;) some of them have been a little uncomfortable but still makes me happy knowing I have a healthy active baby in me...

Well that it pretty much it for now... I have to get ready so miss Brooklynn and I can go VOTE!!! I hope everyone makes this a priority today... Then go to the grocery store, mall, class, and maybe a stop at babies r us... ;)

Oh and maternity pictures... I think we will do them late November or early December... I am not sure. We will see.
